Viktoria Cologna (Harvard University) and Joe Roussos (IFSS Stockholm) will engage with local researchers in issues surrounding trust in scientists and in their expertise in the coming weeks.

Viktoria Cologna, who will be a fellow until February 2024, is currently leading a global study investigating the prevalence and correlates of trust in science in 67 countries. She aims to expand on her work on the role of science in policymaking, and more specifically, the science-policy interface in the context of climate change. Joe Roussos is the PI of the VR funded project, Expertise in crises (2023-25). His research at SOCRATES examines the role of experts as policy advisors as well as philosophical issues arising from such a role. He is staying for a short visit of two weeks and will return to SOCRATES in the coming years. Both join the group that currently comprises fellows Katherine Furman and Jacob Stegenga alongside Hannover team members.
