They will be fellows at SOCRATES during the summer semester.

The three new fellows this summer semester bring an exciting mix of expertise to SOCRATES and will focus on topics surrounding indigenous as well as science communication.

Dr. Friederike Hendriks (TU Braunschweig) is a psychologist and will use her fellowship to deepen notions of epistemic trust, values in science, and uncertainty communication as aspects of science communication training for researchers.

Inkeri Koskinen (University of Helsinki) and Krushil Watene (University of Auckland) are co-organising the SOCRATES Workshop on "Practices of Storytelling and Indigenous Epistemologies" together with SOCRATES postdoc Dr. T.Y. Branch and Dr. David Ludwig (Wageningen University). It will take place at Hannover on May 3rd.

In addition, Inkeri Koskinen will focus on various aspects surrounding the topic of objectivity during her stay. Krushil Watene will focus on Indigenous knowledge systems and practices of philosophical inquiry while she is a fellow at SOCRATES. She is also organising a joint workshop between SOCRATES and the International Science Council that will create a space for exchange between Indigenous scholars, SOCRATES members, and other philosophers.
